Merry-go-round

Atelier Gris handled the technical design of the merry-go-round at Place Shamrock, a temporary public space (2015–2018) at Jean-Talon Market. The steel frame and exposed posts of the carousel, which rotates when pushed (usually by a parent), had to be sturdy and secure. The oiled raw steel finish makes it easier to grip the posts, which do double-duty as handles for turning the play structure.
